Hallway Lighting

Good hallway lighting makes a narrow or windowless space feel welcoming, safe and easy to move through. This range brings together ceiling, wall and pendant lights so you can light an entrance, a landing or a long corridor.

How to choose lights for your hall

Start with the ceiling. In a low or narrow hall, flush ceiling lights keep headroom clear and spread light evenly. In a hall with more height, a pendant adds a focal point and gives the space some character.

Wall lights are useful where the ceiling is not the right place for a fitting. Placed at regular intervals along a corridor, they give a soft, even glow and free up the middle of the space. They also work well beside a mirror or console table.

Think about the length of the space too. A long corridor usually needs several lights rather than one, while a small entrance can be served by a single well-chosen fitting. Matching the finish of your lights to door handles, frames or stair details helps the whole area feel coordinated.

If you are also updating the rooms leading off the hall, you may like our pendant lights for bedrooms to keep a consistent look across the home.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we’re asked most

How do I know if the size is right for my room?

Every product page lists the real dimensions in centimetres, with a reference point to help you picture them. Our tip: cut a piece of cardboard to the diameter of the light and hold it up to the ceiling. Above a table, allow 70 to 80 cm (27.6 to 31.5 in) between the bottom of the light and the tabletop.

Still unsure? Send us your room’s dimensions and we’ll advise you.

What if the light doesn’t match the photo?

We describe every design exactly as it is: dimensions, materials (including when there is plastic), and whether the bulb is included. If the product you receive doesn’t match its description, it counts as not as described: we replace it or refund you, and we cover the return postage.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. At checkout, choose the pay in instalments option offered: your order total is then split into several payments, subject to approval by the payment provider.

The number of instalments and the terms (minimum and maximum amount) are shown clearly before you confirm. Any questions? Email us at contact@XXX.com.

How long does delivery take?

Your order is prepared within 1 to 3 working days, then delivered in 7 to 12 working days by tracked delivery. Delivery is free, with no minimum spend.

Is it difficult to install?

It depends on the design. Table lamps and floor lamps simply plug into a socket. Pendant lights, chandeliers, ceiling lights and wall lights connect to the wires in your ceiling or wall, or to a plug-in ceiling connector, once the power is switched off at the fuse box.

Our installation guide takes you through every step; if you prefer, ask an electrician to fit it — the technical specifications give them everything they need.

Are bulbs included?

It’s stated in the technical specifications of every product (“Bulb: included” or “not included”), along with the bulb base. When bulbs aren’t supplied, the base is usually a standard one (E27 or E14) that you’ll find in any DIY shop.

Can I return a product?

Yes. Damaged, faulty or not as described: return at our expense, with a replacement or refund. If you simply change your mind, you have 14 days from delivery to send it back, unused and in its original packaging; in that case, return postage is at your expense.
